Fabrication Capabilities

Every cut, weld and finish — under one roof.

12kW fiber sheet laser, multi-machine tube laser to a 14" chuck, 5-axis weld-prep bevel, and 3kW robotic laser welding. One shop, one supplier, one accountable team.

IMWX is a full-capability laser fabrication shop — cutting, welding and finishing all happen in-house. Fifty-three years of manufacturing heritage (founded 1972) now runs on the region's most advanced fiber-laser equipment.

That's the difference between a fabricator and a broker. No hand-offs to outside cutters, no waiting on a third-party welder — fewer suppliers, fewer delays, tighter control of quality and lead time.

What runs on our floor.

01

12kW Fiber Sheet Laser

Carbon to 1" · Stainless to ¾" · Aluminum to ½"

High-power fiber cutting with tight edge quality across plate and sheet. Nested efficiently so material cost stays down on both prototypes and production runs.

02

Multi-Machine Tube Laser

Tube & pipe to 21 ft · Holes, copes, notches

Several tube laser systems run in parallel, cutting holes, copes and notches directly into the profile. Parts arrive at weld already fit — no drilling, no layout.

Large-diameter tube laser cutting a heavy-wall round steel pipe
03

Large-Diameter Tube Laser

1" to a 14" chuck · Schedule 40/80

Heavy-wall pipe and large round stock cut on a dedicated large-diameter system. Ideal for headers, manifolds and process piping assemblies.

Saddle-coped round steel pipe end laser-prepared for welding
04

5-Axis Weld-Prep Bevel

Beveled and coped ends ready to weld

Weld prep happens at the laser, not the grinder. Consistent bevel angles and saddle copes mean faster fit-up and more repeatable weld quality.

05

Robotic + Manual Welding

MIG · TIG · 3kW robotic laser · AWS-compliant

Robotic cells handle repeatable production seams; certified manual MIG and TIG cover one-offs and complex assemblies. Same building as the cutting floor.

06

In-House Powder Coating

Finished parts · No outside coater

Parts get coated on site, so nothing sits on a truck between fabrication and finishing. One purchase order covers the part from file to finished color.
